Somewhere Under the Rainbow Collective collects donations (and sells merch when available) for our Mutual Aid Program year-round. The SURC Mutual Aid Program allows SURC counselors to continue to provide affordable care at a sliding scale and continues clients care in times of financial difficulty. Please consider supporting our SURC community in this way if you are able.
Mutual aid is a crucial part of mental health care in order to be fully accessible and inclusive. Mental health care is needed, no matter the financial budget. While one way we address this is by offering a sliding scale, these costs are still not feasible for every budget. Our goal is to use this mutual aid to ensure our clients can get the mental health care they need, no matter their financial barriers.
Often at times we need mental health care the most when we find it most difficult to access.
